What is SPRigWP?
SPRigWP is a new innovation in continuously reinforced concrete pavement (CRCP) with unbonded post-tensioning, produced in precast modules.
Precast panels are assembled into this rigid pavement using a special connection system resulting from the latest innovation called the active dowel.
The injection method in SPRigWP refers to the Special Specification Document Interim SKh-1.5.13 Continuous Pavement Precast-Unbounded Prestressed Concrete Panel without Adhesion, published by the Directorate General of Highways, Ministry of Public Works and Housing.
In the SPRigWP installation process, there are holes and gaps, including gaps beneath the panel, gaps between panels, and active dowel holes. These gaps and holes must be closed with grouting material, including:
- Grouting under the panels with mortar grout to fill all gaps and voids under the panels can be carried out after the installation of all activator dowels has been completed according to the drawings and approved by the superintendent. The general strength required is 10 MPa at the required age.
- Grouting of activator dowel holes and joint gaps between precast concrete panels with cement grout. Grouting to fill all activator dowel holes and joint gaps between precast concrete panels with cement grout can be continued after panel grouting has been completed.

Projects Using SPRigWP
Here are some projects that utilized SPRigWP:
1. Margomulyo Road Section in East Java.
WSBP sent SPRigWP as part of a trial application project on the Margomulyo road section in East Java. The project, with a length of 48 meters and a width of 23.4 meters, implemented 52 SPRigWP trial applications.
2. Elevated Construction Training Infrastructure Project in Citeureup.
Elevated Construction Training Infrastructure Project in Citeureup. For this project in Citeureup, West Java, WSBP supplied 33 SPRigWP, consisting of 6 standard/straight SPRigWP with a delivery area of 129.60 m2 and 27 SPRigWP panels with a delivery area of 801.03 m2.
3. Kudus-Purwodadi Road Project in Central Java
A total of 16 SPRigWP panels were supplied for the Kudus-Purwodadi Road, Kudus Regency. This is the first installation carried out as a pilot project on a road in the Central Java region.
The 48-meter-long project is held by the Central Java Provincial Bina Marga and Cipta Karya Office as the project owner.
4. Pasuruan-Probolinggo Toll Road Project Section 4 in Probolinggo
WSBP was entrusted to provide this innovative product for the National Strategic Project (PSN) Pasuruan-Probolinggo Toll Road Section 4. Seventy SPRigWP panels were delivered for a road measuring 120 meters in length and 11.7 meters in width.
